Founded: 5/22/01 Welcome to Final Flashtasy.. a site mainly designed to house the flash movies that I have made. I finally finished my second flash film.. after hours and hours and.. hours of work. I'm really proud of it. It's a sequal to the previous one but this one doesn't have "me" in it.. except at the beginning part to continue the flow of the story. I know that having myself in it wasn't amusing in the first place for all of you but my point of that one was to just see if I could do stuff.. :) This one should be much better.. as far as humor goes I'm not sure how much you'll find in it.. It's kind of serious. I'm attempting to actually tell a story with it.. hence the sequals and stuff. I hope everyone enjoys it.. and please tell me what you think of it. Or post on the board.. I love the feedback. Also please vote for it on the Movies page at Newgrounds by clicking the Vote link. I would really appreciate it. Plus it helps to get some exposure to my movies. Anyway next I'll be working more on the site to get some downloads and other content going. Thanks for stopping by. May 25, 2001 - Hey everyone! Or.. every 2 of you.. or so. Small small update today.. just added links to The New Final Fantasy and theRPG Zone. Which I should've added the first day.. slipped my mind. They are both great sites. The New FF is one of the best sites for FF news and info and RPG Zone is one of the best sites for general RPG and Emulation info/news. It's also a great place to find rpg rom images! So check them both out! Anyway the next movie is coming along nicely and I'm very pleased with it.. not sure how long it will be till it's done. I've already spent many hours on it. I guess the thing that's taking so long is ripping graphics for spells and stuff like that. But it's worth it because it is looking great. So you will have to check back here every second just to see! JK.. it won't be today. Maybe tomorrow. I've worked on it a lot so far already but there's a LOT more I have to do. Anyway feel free to post on the message board or email me.. Tell me what you think of the site and the movie.. I haven't gotten any feedback so far.. so basically I have no idea if anyone is even coming here :) Well laters! May 23, 2001 - Well I guess things are going alright. Luckily I got a link from Mortis so that was pretty cool. I should be starting my new movie tonight or tomorrow. I have a lot of graphics I have to rip.. I've done a couple so far. (Making the animations are a bitch..) The animation of the white cubes that circle out of the person when they cast a white magic spell is like 28 frames! I've completed that one.. I was shocked it was so many though. They movie will have to go 60 frames per second to look smooth and the right speed... Well if anyone cares I did update the first movie.. added a better title screen and stuff.. I like it a lot more. That should be about all I do to that one.. except maybe a load screen as well. I just wanted to get a title screen so I could change the episode numbers and have the movies appear sequential to each other. (Plus I learned some alpha-ing techs while doing it :) I also made it so that the movie doesn't load on it's own page. It should open up in a new window now.. for convenience for users with different resolutions and such. Well that's about it. Well this is the first post here on news for this is the first day the site is opened. You are probably wonder just who I am huh? (Well probably not but I'm going to say anyway) I go by the nick of Rubicant. I have a website called RPG Central! (which is where I uploaded this site). I haven't updated it in like a year or two though.. (oops) I plan to eventually.. But it stil has some media and info on it .. you might find something there you like. You could probably tell it was mine anyway.. the graphics are my style.. heh. Anyway enough plugging that site. This all started when I stumbled upon 8-Bit Theatre. I laughed my ass off.. he does great work :) So then having loved that I checked the links and saw the stuff at MortisLand and Final Fighting Fantasy. I was amazed.. and thought to myself.. wow I wish I could do that. So not that many days ago I attempted it and that's the current movie that's up right now. Keep in mind it's my FIRST one.. but I think it's ok.. Anyway so I had a great time making that and learning as I went.. so there'll be more and hopefully each will be better than the last.
