You have to find your way down to the first floor. Run from every battle, they are hard and you don't have the time to waste. When you reach the bottom the mimic will fight you. He/she/it says to win you have to do as I do. He/she/it doesn't do anything, so just wait and eventually he/she/it says that you knew what to do (or something along those lines, its been awhile since I played) and he/she/it will give you the mimic crystal shard.
