/ RPG Game Music \

It is my belief that the best music ever created comes from video games. From games such as MegaMan, Castlevania, and DuckTales, but also from Roleplaying games. The music really makes you feel the game. Who doesn't remember that beautiful piece of music called Forever Rachel in Final Fantasy 6, when Locke tries to rescue his love who then loses her memory. Or the theme of Aerith in Final Fantasy 7, that brought tears to the eyes of thousands of games when Sehpiroth murdered the praying Aerith? These are just two examples of outstanding music in RPGs.

/ SPC->IT Conversion Soundtracks - - MOD Players \
These files were encoded from spc files, which are ripped from Super Nintendo roms, by using a program called OpenSPC. These files are amazing. They sound exactly like the original songs and they are MUCH smaller than mp3s that sound nearly the same. All ITs were personally encoded by Rubicant (unless otherwise noted). RPG Central! is proud to the very first site to ever create such a collection.

/ MIDIs - - MIDI Players \
MIDIs are synthesized peices of music created by fans. MIDI is a popular sound format due to its small size. Depending on your soundcard or synthesizer, MIDIs can either sound like crap or they can sound awesome.

/ MODs - - MOD Players \
Modules are similar to MIDIs except they are made of instrument samples. They are of higher quality than MIDIs are, but they are also a bit larger as well. Modules sound pretty much the same on any computer, the mod player used is what makes the difference. Modules have many formats from MOD to S3M. The modules contained here were created by individuals and are, therefore, different than the above IT conversions.
